‘o nosso mundo amontoado’ surge da atitude espantada, da curiosidade intrínseca e da observação desinteressada. com relações ao imaginário de italo calvino, ‘o nosso mundo amontoado’ é um reflexo, uma instância, uma memória. é um olhar desviado por entre frases soltas. é mais interior do que exterior, uma clara tentativa de o colocar em evidência perante quem olha como quem ouve.

este projeto resulta de uma influência forte e vincada de uma estética que permitia ao inconsciente expressar-se e que deu origem, ou fez nascer, o cinema com caracter surrealista. contendo esta obra também uma identidade experimental, alguns planos ‘impressionistas’, e tendo como ponto de referência germain dulac, a temática do eterno retorno é aqui abordada como homenagem à simbologia subjacente ao seu filme “la coquille et le clergyman”, realizado nos anos 20.
este é um projecto que procura um espaço de criação genuíno, mesmo que daí resulte uma imagética provocatória, ilógica e que confronta o público, causando-lhe surpresa e levando-o a interrogar o real e a sua existência.

a obra ‘providence’ faz parte da instalação ‘mindscape’, que refere questões de introspecção e percepção relacionadas com a temática do auto-retrato. esta obra tem um caracter abstracto, obtido através do cruzamento do vídeo em interação com váios elementos, como a celuloide fotográfica, a luz, e por fim a água. a correlação, feita através destes elementos, estabelece um paralelismo entre a passagem da informação do mundo inteligível, um mundo para lá da nossa própria percepção,”algo provido por deus”, e a realidade.

esta obra é baseada no conceito de identidade e no que, para mim, mais identifica alguém – os olhos. devido à expressividade dos olhos na comunicação, associado ao som das conversas no próprio café, o espectador é capaz de criar um diálogo entre si e a obra.

‘Our heaped world’ comes from the astonished attitude, the intrinsic curiosity and the disinterested observation. in relation to the imaginary of Italo Calvino, ‘our heaped world’ is a reflection, an instance, a memory. It’s a look diverted between loose sentences. It is more interior than exterior, a clear attempt to put that in evidence before those who look as if they hear.

This project is the result of a strong and vivid influence of an aesthetic that allowed the unconscious to express itself and that was behind, or originated, the cinema with a surrealist character. This work also contains an experimental identity, some ‘impressionist’ plans, and germain dulac as the reference point; the theme of the eternal return is here treated as a homage to the symbology underlying his film “la coquille et le clergyman”, made in the 1920’s.
This is a project that seeks a genuine creative space, even if it results in a provocative, illogical imagery that confronts the audience, leading it to surprise and causing it to question the real and its existence.

The work ‘providence’ is part of the ‘mindscape’ installation, which addresses issues of introspection and perception related to the topic of self-portrait. this work has an abstract character, obtained by crossing the video in interaction with various elements, such as photographic celluloid, light, and finally water. The correlation made through these elements establishes a parallel between the passage of information from the intelligible world, a world beyond our own perception, “something provided by god,” and reality.

This work is based on the concept of identity and of of its more important traits: the eyes. The expressiveness the eyes provide to communication associated with the sound of conversations taking place in the cafe might create a dialogue between the viewer and the work presented.
